Gore-Tex and Sympatex boots boast the cleverest membranes on the market, but they can’t keep up the good work if you don’t treat them every now and again! This Footwear Cleaning Gel from Nikwax has been designed specifically to revitalise the DWR to prevent water absorption and maintain the breathability of your boots. So if you think your boots are starting to become a little saturated and aren’t quite as super as when they came out of the box, give this gel a try. It will not only remove contaminants such as dirt, but will also re-vamp the DWR, causing water to bead on the outer surface once again!

Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel Manufacturer Spec

How to use:
• Rinse item with clean water to remove loose mud & to dampen surface
• Shake well before use
• Press sponge applicator to break seal
• Apply generously over the area to be cleaned
• If very dirty scrub with a stiff nylon brush (e.g. nail brush)
• Rinse well with clean water
• If required, apply appropriate Nikwax WaterBased waterproofing or conditioner while footwear is damp
• Note: Colour may run, test on a hidden area first
• Recommended for Gore-Tex & Sympatex footwear

• Leave footwear to dry at room temperature
• Paper can be stuffed into the toes to absorb excess moisture, this should be replaced when wet
• Keep footwear away from fires & radiators, drying too quickly can crack leather & cause bonded soles to peel
